Stronger military action might be considered as an option for future operations in Gaza Strip, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu late Wednesday. Netanyahu was speaking at a press conference with Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Defense Minister Ehud Barak. He said that land operations in the future might be executed. However, the Israeli premier said his country would abide by the ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions which was announced by Cairo. Netanyahu said that operation \"Pillar of Cloud\" managed to destroy thousands of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip at targets in Israel. For his part, Avigdor Lieberman said that Israelis had managed the operation in an \"organized\" manner, lauding the Egyptian efforts in bringing on a ceasefire. Also commenting during the press conference, Ehud Barak said that the operation against Gaza had achieved its goals to inflict damage on Hamas and the Islamic Jihad movement. According to Israeli radio, Benjamin Netanyahu provided a briefing on operation \"Pillar of Cloud\" to President Shimon Perez, late Wednesday. Reacting to the ceasefire agreement, several Israeli politicians said that the results of the operation were disappointing, hoping that an operation would be launched soon against Gaza Strip.
