The Arab League (AL) slammed Thursday the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who pledged that Jerusalem will be everlasting capital for Jews.

In a statement issued by the Palestine and Arab occupied territories department, the AL demanded the international community and organizations atop of which the United Nations (UN) to intervene and practise pressure on Israel and force it to abide by the international laws.

The Israeli practices harm the Middle East peace process, the AL reiterated, adding that such statements underestimate the decisions of the United Nations Security Council
