Egypt's ambassador to Russia Mohamed al Badry Sunday presented his credentials as a non-resident ambassador in Turkmenistan.

The ambassador was received by Turkmenistan House Speaker Akja Nurbediyewa.

Badry briefed Nurbediyewa on Egypt's efforts to combat terrorism in the Middle East and thanked her for her country's support for Arab issues in international forums.

They also discussed ways to promote the bilateral relations.

The Egyptian ambassador also met with Turkmenistan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to deliver a message from Egypt's FM Sameh Shoukry urging Turkmenistan's support for Egypt to be elected as a non-permanent member in the UN Security Council.
