UN Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon

A new round of talks among Libyan rivals will be held on Sunday in Skhirat city of Morocco under the auspices of UN Special Envoy to Libya Bernardino Leon.

The talks aim to agree on forming a national reconciliation government in Libya.

The Libyan parliament delegation participating in the new round of talks has raised to the UN special envoy amendments on the UN proposal, Jalal Shwehdi, a member of Libya's internationally recognized House of Representatives in Tobruk, told MENA.

He pointed out that the amendments include forming a national army and police as well as recognizing the elected Libyan parliament as the sole legislative power in Libya.

Meanwhile, Libyan Foreign Minister Mohammad Al Dairi expressed his optimism that the talks will help in reaching an agreement that will solve the Libyan crisis.
