Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed announced his cabinet on Friday after 10 days of consultations. Economist Abdirahman Duale Beyle was appointed foreign minister. Hussein Abdi Halane will be finance minister, a portfolio he has already held several times. National Security Minister Abdikarim Hussein Gulled retained his post. The cabinet also includes five women as ministers or deputy ministers. The new cabinet includes 25 ministers, up from 10 in the previous one. It also includes five state ministers, and 25 deputy ministers. Somalia's parliament is expected to endorse the new cabinet in the next few days.
