New Zealand Prime Minister John Key ,who is visiting Saudi Arabia, met with GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Negotiation Affairs and Strategic Dialogue Dr. Abdel Aziz Abu Hamad Aluwaisheg Tuesday .  Talks during the meeting focused on joint cooperation between the two sides and ways of activating the memorandum of understanding between the GCC Secretariat General and New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which was signed in Riyadh January 21, 2014 , where a joint programme is currently prepared to put it into practice.

Aluwaisheg affirmed GCC States' keenness to enhance cooperation with New Zealand , notably in political, economic and cultural fields.
