Policemen and non-commissioned officers in some police stations in the Delta city of Tanta have started an open-ended strike in protest against an officer attack on one of them. They demanded a probe to be started into the incident. They also shouted slogans calling for the dismissal of the interior minister. The strike come amid a widespread police anger on the policies of the interior minister.
