Norway Foreign Minister Borge Brende said he is concerned about recent events in Egypt particularly "the use of force" against protesters and the arrest of activists. It is important that authorities boost the respect of human rights in their efforts to building a new Egypt, he said. Norway supports international and Egyptian human rights organizations which all expressed concern about the protest law in Egypt. He said his country is worried about the impact of the law on the country's transition to democracy.
