The top nuclear envoys of South Korea and the US held talks in Seoul Wednesday and discussed ways to make progress on the denuclearization of North Korea.Cho Tae-yong and Glyn Davies are said to have reaffirmed the nuclear issue is their top priority regardless of conciliatory gestures made by North Korea in recent days.The two sides believe the North’s seemingly appeasing moves should not be viewed as diminishing the importance of the nuclear issue or influencing the framework of efforts to resume dialogue on denuclearization, according to (KBS WORLD) news website.Seoul and Washington also believe China must do more to induce a change in North Korea’s attitude regarding denuclearization.Davies visited China before arriving in Seoul and is said to have briefed Cho on the talks in Beijing.The US official will leave on Thursday for Japan, the final leg of his Northeast Asia trip.
