US President Barack Obama met with his newly-appointed Defense Secretary Ashton Carter for talks over violent extremism, the current situation in Ukraine and the conditions of the US army.
Obama told reporters that the meeting tackled fighting Daesh militant group, enhancing stability in Iraq and the growing number of foreign militants.
