Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz Al Saudi received Tuesday night a phone call from US President Obama phoned King to brief him on the content of the nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 Group, the Saudi News Agency reported.

Obama asserted that the US is keen on stability and security of the region.

The Saudi king replied him that the kingdom supported any deal with Iran that could ban it from obtaining nuclear weapons and guarantee an inspection of all nuclear installations in Iran.

The two leaders also reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East region, the situation in Yemen.

They also asserted that US and Saudi Arabia have strategic and distinguished relations.
