The US and Russian presidents Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin discussed Tuesday how to ensure "a safe and secure Sochi Olympics," the White House said. Their telephone call came a day after Washington announced it had offered to deploy air and naval assets to the Black Sea resort city during next month's winter games, following recent terror attacks in Russia.
