The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s Secretary General, Iyad Ameen Madani, strongly condemned the terror attack on Thursday April 2 by Al-Shabab gunmen against Garissa University College campus in northeastern Kenya. The bloody rampage killed some 147 people and left scores injured.
Madani expressed his utter dismay and horror at the senseless attack in which innocent people lost their lives.
He stated that the OIC shares the grief of the Kenyan people, conveying his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Kenya over this tragedy.
The Secretary General restated the principled position of the OIC condemning terrorism in whatever form or manifestation. He renewed his call for enhancing international cooperation to combat the escalating menace posed by terrorism to global peace and security.
