The Pakistani authorities on Saturday closed Torkham Border Crossing, northwest of the country after the attacks on Pakistani security forces by Afghan militants. Torkham Border Crossing is one of the main entry points for NATO trucks to Afghanistan. It is worth to mention that the northwestern Torkham crossing is the quickest route to the Afghan capital Kabul from the port of Karachi.
