Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry denied reports that Pakistan has agreed to send troops to join the Saudi-led regional coalition against the Houthis in Yemen, Geo channel reported Sunday.
“All these reports are false and based on assumptions,” the foreign secretary said at a press conference.
He said a high-level delegation will head for Riyadh within coming 48 hours to discuss cooperation for the Saudi-led strikes on Yemen.
“Our leadership is in contact with the Saudi leaders and has told them Pakistan will send a delegation to assess the situation and will later make decisions,” Chaudhry said.
