Islamabad - KUNA
The Leader of opposition in the Lower House, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has expressed his concerns over the delay of proposed All Parties Conference (APC) on security. While talking to press, he called upon the government to immediately convene the conference because security had become the biggest problem in the country and the decision to postpone the conference had created doubts in people\'s minds. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, called the APC and July 12 was a proposed date for the conference. The conference was called to take on board all political parties and formulate a strategy over the security issues against militancy in the country. The Interior Minister invited all the political party heads on July 12 that was delayed due to non-availability of Chairman of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf, Imran Khan. The opposition leader also criticized the reason for the delay in APC, as according to him the issue of national security should not be linked to any individual. He said that the date of APC was declared earlier this month and Mr. Khan has given preference to his personal visit to United Kingdom.
