Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Sunday said his country would strongly react to any threat posed at Saudi Arabia, local Dunya News reported.
In a statement, Sharif added that the security of Saudi Arabia and the gulf countries is extremely important for Pakistan.
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Muhammad bin Salman met Sharif earlier in the day.
Sharif said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share exemplary relations.
Bin Salman said that Pakistan is highly important for Saudi Arabia that appreciates Pakistan's efforts for ensuring regional security.
He said that Saudi Arabia puts Pakistan and its army in high esteem, reiterating support for Pakistan in all matters.
