Six JF-17 Thunder fighters of Pakistan Air Force, will escort the aircraft of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang as it enters Pakistani air space on Wednesday, at the start of his two-day state visit, said an official press release here on Tuesday. A 21-gun salute will herald the arrival of the Chinese premier after which President Asif Ali Zardari and the caretaker Prime Minister Justice Mir Hazar Khan Khoso will receive the chief guest on his first visit to Pakistan, since assuming office in March. The government and people of Pakistan look forward to the visit of Premier Li Keqiang and a warm welcome awaits him, a Foreign Office statement said. Moreover, caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arif Nizami in a meeting with a Chinese trade delegation on Tuesday urged the media from both China and Pakistan to play their due role in enhancing bilateral relations and trade ties. Various memorandums of understanding are to be signed during the visit, which would further help boost economic relations between the two countries, Nizami further added.
