Palestinian Assistant Foreign Minister Mazen Shameia discussed with Joint Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Sandeep Kumar ways of boosting cooperation.

They two sides also touched on the latest developments in the Middle East and other issues of common concern.

The Palestinian official expressed his country's support for India in getting a permanent UN Security Council seat.

For his part, Kumar asserted India's full support for Palestine at all levels.

This came during the first round of political consultations between Palestine and India, which was held here on Monday.
