The Palestinian cause will top the agenda of a Saudi-American summit, said Spokesman for the Palestinian Presidency Nabil Abu Rdineh on Friday.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz will hold a historic summit with US President Barack Obama today.

In press statements, Abu Rdineh voiced confidence in the success of the summit.

Saudi Arabia has always stood by the Palestinian people and their just cause, he said.

King Salman arrived Thursday in Washington on an official visit to the United States.

The last round of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians happened between July 2013 and April 2014.
