A Palestinian fisherman was injured on Tuesday when Israeli occupation forces opened random fire at Gaza shores.

Local sources said the Israeli gunboats opened machine gun fire on Palestinian fishing boats in western Gaza City leaving one fisherman injured.

The 20-year-old man, who was seriously wounded, was moved to hospital for treatment.

The Israeli occupation forces are frequently targeting Palestinian fishing boats and farmlands in the eastern and northern areas of the enclave.
