The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the European Union's stance towards the settlement issue. In a press statement the Palestinian Foreign Ministry commended the EU for its strong and firm positions against all Israeli attempts aimed at changing the guiding terms and conditions relating to Israeli settlements on the occupied Palestinian territories. That made the Israeli government announce its commitment to the European Union's decisions and its mechanisms that guarantee the non-arrival of funding, whether to companies or research centres of Israeli settlements, the Ministry said.
