The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement Tuesday, called upon all states, particularly the international Quartet, to take an immediate practical steps to stop the Israeli violation against the Palestinian people and oblige Israel to comply with rules of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.The Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli demolition of four Palestinian houses in Al-Issawiya and Beit Hanina near Jerusalem and noted that the Israeli military bulldozers, protected by large Israeli forces, demolished these houses without allowing the residents to remove their furniture.The Ministry added that the houses were demolished under the pretext of unlicensed building.The Ministry considered the demolition as a gross violation by Israel of both the rules of international law and the fourth Geneva Convention. It also described it a war crime in accordance with the International Law and the International Humanitarian Law.
