Ramallah - MENA
The Islamic-Christian Commission for Al Quds and the holy shrines hailed the historic treaty that was signed earlier between the Vatican and the State of Palestine concerning Catholic Church rights in the Palestinian territories.
In a press release on Sunday, the Palestinian NGO said the agreement sends a peace message to the Middle East and all the world that dialogue, consensus, tolerance and coexistence are the only ways to avoid war and support peace.
Earlier, the Vatican signed its first treaty with the State of Palestine on Friday, calling for "courageous decisions" to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and back a two-state solution.
