Ramallah - MENA
Palestinian Prime Minister Ramy al Hamdallah met in Ramallah on Wednesday with EU's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and her accompanying delegation currently on a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The prime minister asserted during the meeting that the Israeli decision to continue settlement policies and the demolition of houses in East Jerusalem proved that the Israeli side is not serious about reaching a political solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
He called on the EU and the United States and other major powers to work for pushing forward the Middle East peace process, pointing out that he informed the European officials of the Palestinian Authority's decision to go ahead with reconciliation process among all Palestinian factions.
The EU official said earlier during a meeting with President Abbas that the European side is committed to efforts of resuming peace talks between the Palestinian and Israeli sides in cooperation with the United States, Russia and the United Nations.
