Palestinian Prime Minister Ramy al Hamdallah on Thursday called on the US to immediately get Israel to stop violations against Al Aqsa Mosque.

In a meeting with US Consul General in al-Quds Donald Blome earlier in the day, Hamdallah underlined the importance that the US should take serious steps to stop the Israeli assaults and plots aiming at dividing the mosque.

The Israeli escalation would lead to a religious war and endless cycle of violence in the region, he warned.
