The UK will abstain from a UN General Assembly vote on Palestine\'s bid for status as an observer non-member state, UK Foreign Secretary William Hague told the BBC on Monday. Hague yesterday said that for the UK to vote in favor, the Palestinians must agree not to seek membership of the International Criminal Court (ICC) or the International Court of Justice (ICJ), must immediately resume unconditional negotiations with Israel, and that any General Assembly resolution passed with respect to the Palestinian status, not be binding on the UN Security Council. Germany has declared it will vote against the proposed upgrade of Palestine\'s UN status.
