On Wednesday 23rd January, dozens of Palestinian workers suffered suffocation after the Israeli forces fired tear gas bombs toward them at al-Taybeh crossing, southwest of TulKarem. Witnesses said the Israeli forces totally closed the crossing at 5 AM, prevented workers from heading to their work locations inside the 1948 occupied territories, and fired tear gas bombs toward them to force them return to their houses. The witnesses also said that the suffocated workers were transferred by ambulances to nearby hospitals for treatment.
