The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Monday slammed remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Jerusalem.

Netanyahu claimed Jerusalem would stay a united city under Israeli authority.

"Such remarks hinder peace and disregard international law," the ministry said in a statement.

It said Netanyahu made such comments to please Israel's far-right.
