A Hamas-run military court in Gaza sentenced four men to prison for their involvement in the 2011 death of Italian activist Vittorio Arrigoni. Two of the men, Mahmud al-Salfiti and Tamer al-Husana were given life sentences, the BBC reported Monday. Khadr Faruk Jerim received 10 years in prison for kidnapping and Amer Abu Ghola received one year for providing access to the Gaza City apartment where Arrigoni was found hanging. Arrigoni, a pro-Palestinian activist, was abducted in April 2011 by radical Salafists, which are in conflict with Hamas. The ultra-conservative Salafists consider Hamas to be too moderate, BBC reported.
