U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta arrived in Beijing Monday, marking his first trip to China since being appointed to his position. During his four-day stay in China, Panetta is scheduled to hold meetings with his Chinese counterpart, Liang Guanglie, Xinhua reported. He will also give a speech at the Armed Force Engineering Institute in Beijing and visit a naval facility in east China\'s city of Qingdao. After leaving China, Panetta will head to Japan for two days, then New Zealand.
