France is hosting a conference in September to rally support for Mideast minorities persecuted by ISIL group.

The conference on 8th September will focus on humanitarian efforts to support ethnic and religious groups in Syria and Iraq who have become key targets of ISIL extremists, suffering mass executions and other abuses. Diplomats from some 60 countries are expected to join the conference, co-hosted by Jordan.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said situation is critical and France will not hold aloof.
