President Park Geun-hye is expected to issue special pardons next week for mostly those convicted of minor offenses committed in the course of trying to make a living, justice ministry officials said Friday. The ministry completed its review Wednesday of a special pardon proposal for Lunar New Year's Day, which falls on next Friday, and the issue is likely to be tabled at a Cabinet meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, they said.
