A portion of New York's LaGuardia airport was evacuated Tuesday after workers reported a package on the tarmac began smoking. The incident took part of Terminal C out of commission for nearly three hours as law enforcement investigated the matter. The bag, which was to be loaded on a Delta flight to Richmond, Va., was moved to a remote portion of the airport, CBS reported. No explanation was given for what caused it to smoke. NBC said the all-clear was given shortly after 2:30 p.m. to reopen the terminal.
