A peaceful sit-in was held after Friday prayers near Jamal Abdul Nasser Square (Dakhiliya Roundabout) in Amman to protest against the government\'s decision to lift subsidies. The sit-in, organized by the National Front for Reform, stressed the need to fight corruption, achieve comprehensive reforms and scrap Wadi Araba peace treaty with Israel. Head of the front and Former Prime Minister Ahmed Obeidat addressed thousands of participants affirming the need to press ahead with comprehensive reform. He also stressed the importance of maintaining peaceful movement. \"Security and stability remain a red line,\" Obeidat said. He also slammed the current elections law, calling for a law that would come up with a parliament that meets the aspirations of Jordanians and fights corruption.
