One soldier was killed and 4 injured in an attack on Turkish security headquarters in the east late Saturday. Militants from the anti-government Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) attacked Gocek and Sehit Mehmet Gendarmerie stations located on the road between Tunceli and Erzincan, Turkish news agency (Anadolu) reported Sunday. Confrontations broke out between the PKK militants and Turkish security forces in which 5 soldiers sustained injuries. One soldier died on his way to the hospital suffering from critical wounds.
