Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met on Saturday a delegation of Canada's Bombardier firm.

The meeting took on a proposal to establish a monorail in Greater Cairo.

The housing and transport ministers attended the meeting.

The line will link Cairo with 6th of October City. It is planned to initially transport 10,000 to 15,000 commuters per hour.

The project will be funded in part by a soft loan.
