Cairo - MENA
Michał Murkociński, the Ambassador of Poland in Cairo, has praised efforts by the Egyptian people to achieve reform in their country.
He said relations between Poland and Egypt started about 70 years ago.
Murkociński was speaking in a ceremony organized by the Polish Embassy in Cairo Sunday night to mark their National Day.
The diplomat told participants that his country understands more than others difficulties facing Egypt.
He touched upon Poland's fight to regain freedom and independence and to build a democratic country.
In 1971, Polish lawmakers decided to unite with the king to build that democratic state, Murkociński said.
