Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is set to start on Friday a state visit to Turkey, during which he will meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan and a number of other Turkish officials. During their meeting, president Abbas and Erdogan will discuss bilateral relations, the Palestinian latest developments and a set of other issues of mutual concern, TRT radio reported Wednesday. During his visit, Abbas will also take part in an Ankara ceremony to award Erdogan an honorary PhD from Al-Quds University.
