President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi received here on Sunday the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen ,Jamal Benomar ,and his accompanying delegation. In the meeting, they reviewed the current developments at the level of the implementation of the political settlement under the GCC-brokered initiative and the Security Council’s resolutions 2014 and 2051. The president pointed to the reactions that produce sabotage here or there, especially the blatant attack on power transmission lines and oil pipelines. He stressed the need to go ahead in the implementation of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism , pointing out that Yemen is the best model in terms of emerging from the crisis into an oasis of safety , security, stability and dialogue. The President noted that the peaceful transition in Yemen goes on in full swing and from success to success ,and that the stages of the comprehensive national dialogue achieved significant progress at different levels. At the meeting, Benomar conveyed greetings and congratulations to President Hadi from the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon , noting that the UN Secretary-General is closely following the progress of the process of peaceful change in Yemen. He said that The United Nations considered Yemena model in the Middle East and will continue to support the process until the success of the transitional phase in full.
