South Korean President Park Geun-hye

President Park Geun-hye was to hold talks Tuesday with leaders of the rival parties for the first time in nearly five months, an official said, a move that could set the tone for the political atmosphere in coming months.
The meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. comes after Park's ruling Saenuri Party chairman, Kim Moo-sung, had a casual meeting with his opposition counterpart and Park during a government function early this month and proposed three-way talks.
