President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday phoned his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev to congratulate him on the occasion of his election as the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Egypt's Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said Sisi hailed the positive atmosphere in which these elections were held, noting that the election reflects the Kazakh people's confidence of Nazarbayev.

The President expressed Egypt's aspiration to promote bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan in all fields.

Nazarbayev invited Sisi to visit Astana.
