President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Friday with Hungary's Parliament Speaker Laszlo Kover at a dinner banquet held for the Egyptian leader.

The Hungarian speaker welcomed President Sisi, describing that the visit as an important and major step in the history of relations between the two countries, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

Kover also lauded Egypt's efforts to achieve stability at the internal and regional levels, which will positively reflect on Europe.

He asserted his country's keenness on the stability and security of Egypt and support for its efforts to achieve holistic development.

The parliament speaker noted his country's readiness to promote the partnership with Egypt in various fields, especially in the education and culture domains.

He welcomed the Egyptian students studying in Hungary; voicing hope to support the parliamentary relations between the two countries after the Egyptian house is elected.

For his part, President Sisi stressed the distinguished relations between the two countries, saying that the two sides' views on a number of topics at the Egyptian and regional were identical.

He asserted Egypt's keenness to hold the parliamentary elections before the end of this year to complete the democratic institutions in Egypt.
