Some 360 prisoners held in Israeli jails, mainly from the Islamic Jihad, Thursday began a one-day hunger strike in solidarity with the four prisoners who have been on a long hunger strike, said a Prisoners’ Club statement.It said the prisoners refused to accept meals as they began their hunger strike. The prisoners plan a broader hunger strike on Tuesday that will include all Israeli jails in solidarity with the striking prisoners. Samer Issawi has been on hunger strike for 205 days, Jafar Izzeddin and Tariq Qadan have been striking for 79 days and Ayman Sharawneh has been on strike for about 142 days.
