Gaza City - MENA
Hundreds of people in Arab complexes in Haifa city staged protests in solidarity with Palestinian detainee Mohammed Allan Mohammed Allan, who has been on a hunger strike in an Israeli prison since mid-June, Radio Israel said on Wednesday.
Israel’s supreme court will rule in his case on Wednesday.
Allan's lawyers have filed a petition for his release over deteriorating health condition.
Allan began a hunger strike in June, only drinking water, in protest of being held by Israel on administrative detention since November 2014, with neither charge nor trial, on suspicion of involvement in terrorism and of membership in the militant Islamic Jihad -- a claim his lawyer and his family deny.
The 31-year-old lawyer - who slipped into unconsciousness last week after a two-month hunger strike - emerged from the coma on Tuesday and said he will continue his protest.
