There is no political crisis between Egypt and Jordan, said Egypt's Prime Minister Hisham Qandil. Qandil was responding to a question by MENA correspondent here, during a joint press conference held with his Jordanian counterpart Abdullah Ensour on Thursday. Egypt and Jordan want to deal with other countries with peace and according to regional and bilateral cooperation, added Qandil. Talking about the Palestinian cause, Qandil said that Egypt and Jordan agreed during today's talks to unite the Palestinians in a bid to help in achieving the "dream" of a Palestinian state. Regarding Egypt's stance toward the Syrian crisis, Qandil voiced hope that the Syrian crisis would be resolved soon. "We are following with deep sorrow what is going on in Syria," Qandil said, hopping that the Syrian president would put public interest over all other considerations. The Jordanian prime minister, for his part, said that "We are one nation", affirming the importance of boosting bilateral ties with Egypt. Ensour, meanwhile, said that he discussed with Qandil ways of enhancing bilateral relations in the various fields. "The Palestinian cause is our top priority", he affirmed, saying that the situation in the Palestinian territories was figured high during today's meeting wihth Qandil.
