As part of the official visit to Japan, HH the Emir witnessed Friday the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the Stat of Qatar and Japan.
The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Qatar signed an agreement exempting holders of diplomatic passports from Visa.
Another agreement was signed between Qatar and Japan in the field of electricity. Nibras Energy Qatar signed a deal for cooperation in electricity projects across the globe, particularly in the Middle-East.
Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry also signed an agreement with the Japanese Chamer of Commerce and Industry regarding cooperation in the removal of bilateral trade and investment bariers. The agreements also stated that both parties exchange information in the trade and investment fields.
Qatar University signed an agreement in scientific research with Japan's Foreign Trade Council, pertaining to boosting joint scientific research activities. The University also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a student exchange program.
