Qatari rescue team conducted on Tuesday a successful joint exercise with Kuwait and a number of countries on the sidelines of the Fourth Civil Defence Conference. The two-day exercise included search and rescue operations with teams from GCC countries, Jordan, France, New Zealand, Russia, the Netherlands, Singapore and Spain participating. The exercise was a complete success thanks to the large number of participating teams which enabled effective sharing of experience, Chairman of the organizing committee Captain Khamis Al-Muraikhi said. Al-Muraikhi added the exercise was designed by UN guidance plans which have been distributed to all participating teams since yesterday for more than eight hours and reached 10 hours a day in terms of training. The aim of the exercise is to exchange experiences between the participating teams and this goal adapted from the goals of the conference.
