Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy\'s conservative Popular Party held on to its absolute majority in regional elections on Sunday in Galicia while a separatist coalition finished second in the Basque Country, exit polls showed. The regional polls were a test for Rajoy, whose popularity has waned because of the steep spending cuts and tax increases he has put in place to slash Spain\'s public deficit since coming to power in December.
