German Police said that a bus carrying refugees was attacked by a group of people, while the refugees were heading to a hostel in the town of Jahnsdorf, eastern German.

The group prevented the bus from passing and threw firecrackers at it, Deutsche Welle quoted a Leipzig police source as saying.

The driver was wounded in his foot.

The refugees were subsequently moved to alternative accommodation.
